## What Muhurat trading is

Muhurat trading is a special trading session NSE holds on Diwali Laxmi Pujan. In 2026 that day is a Sunday, which the circular lists among the holidays falling on a weekend, so the session runs on a day the market is otherwise shut.

## Session timing

The 2026 holiday circular does not give a start or end time. NSE says the timings will be notified in a later circular. Any specific time quoted before that circular is not from the exchange.
