OPEX Calendar 2026: Monthly Options Expiration Dates

Every 2026 monthly options expiration date, read off the Cboe expiration calendar, with the last trading day for standard A.M.-settled index options and the June exception.

Standard equity, equity index, ETF and ETN options expire once a month. The table below is the 2026 schedule as Cboe publishes it, with the last day standard A.M.-settled index options trade in each cycle. Four of the twelve are quarterly sessions, when index futures and index options expire alongside single stock options.

The one that breaks the pattern

  • 2026-06-18: A Thursday, not a Friday. NYSE observes Juneteenth on Friday June 19, 2026, so the standard expiration moves to the preceding business day.

What expires and what does not

The dates above are the standard monthly expirations. SPX and XSP weeklys expire on most other business days as well, end-of-month contracts expire at the close on the last business day of each month, and VIX runs on its own schedule, which has a page of its own. What settles on the four quarterly sessions is covered in triple witching explained.
